- Identifies fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) across the UK
- The UK’s third biggest retail bingo operator with 16 clubs across the country
Majestic Bingo Limited has been identified as one of London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. The report is a celebration of the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses across the UK.
To be included in the list, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers. More detail on the methodology can be found in the report online at www.1000companies.com.
Majestic Bingo Limited started its journey in 2014 with the purchase of seven bingo clubs owned by Seldis Cooper and eight Apollo clubs owned by Top Ten. In April 2016 the addition of Grand Bingo in Nuneaton, grew the company’s portfolio to 16.
A belief in the industry is fuelling the UKs third largest retail Bingo operator and providing the impetus behind some of its key decisions since the company began.
Managing Director, Mark Jepp, said “The Majestic Bingo Limited estate is a mixture of flat floor retail clubs and buildings located in the heart of towns with a history that goes beyond their lives as bingo clubs. Many of our bingo halls have been serving the community for years and we want that to continue for many years to come. We think bingo has a future and that one size doesn’t fit all; there is a place destination, local and High Street bingo to co-exist together.
“Having worked hard to stabilise, standardise and modernise for the first two years, with strong results, we are continuing to invest in and grow the business.
“We are working closely with a number of key partners to develop our products and the systems, technology and people that support them to ensure our business is fit for the future and meets the needs of our customers.
He added, “We know that conditions which affect our industry make it challenging at times and we really have to work hard, but this is a very exciting time for the company and we are thrilled to be recognised in this way.”
Majestic Bingo Limited is backed by Luke Johnson, owner of Risk Capital Partners. In 2014 they provided funding to enable an external management team to acquire an independent business and develop the Majestic brand. In June 2014 the group funded further acquisition, more than doubling the size of the estate.
