Pop Up Cinema comes to Skegness
A giant screen is being installed inside the main hall at Roman Bank Bingo as the former cinema returns to its roots for a one off film screening.
On Saturday 4th August the club will open its doors inviting people to come and join in on some ‘Sing along action, Mamma Mia style.
Jason Beauchamp-Hughes, General Manager of the club “We always look forward to welcoming back our returning holiday-makers and helping to make their stays memorable and fun as well as ensuring we keep the locals entertained. Our events are always popular and we wanted to try something fun that might appeal to people of all adult ages, including those who may never have stepped foot inside a bingo hall before!
The film screening will follow a Mamma Mia themed bingo session planned earlier that evening with some fun elements based on Abba hits and its band members.
Jason added “Anyone who would like to come along and make a night of it is welcome to play bingo before and stay for the film screening after.”
Groups can book a table ahead of the night and order discounted drinks packages by calling 01754 763702.
Although a FREE event, the club is collecting donations on the night for their nominated located charity RNLI Skegness.
Mairi Perry, Fundraising Chairman at Skegness RNLI said “Skegness RNLI are extremely grateful to Roman Bank Bingo for choosing us as their charity for the pop up cinema. We are so lucky to have such amazing support.”
Roman Bank Bingo has been serving the Skegness community since 1962 when the building was converted into a bingo hall. The club was acquired in 2014 by Majestic Bingo Limited, the UK’s third largest operator of retail bingo.
