Common Bingo Terms
Bingo! - One of the best moments in any bingo game is shouting "BINGO!" once you've completed the required patteren on your card.
Caller - All of these games, including on Bingo sites, will have a person responsible for drawing and calling out numbers to all the players. We call them "callers"
Ticket/Card - Each player marks off the numbers as they are being callled out on grids called "ticket" or "card". But the layout may vary depending on the game (75-ball, 90-ball, etc.).
Dauber - this is the special marker or ink players use to highlight the numbers as they are called out.
Pattern - There is a certain winning arrangement that must be completed to win the game. It can be a row, column, diagonal, or any other predefined design, and that is the pattern.
Now that you have grasped some key terms of bingo let's jump into the slang next! Bingo players have come up with fun phrases for the numbers such as "Two Little Ducks" for 22, "Unlucky for Some" is 13, "Legs Eleven" is, you guessed it, 11 and even "Clickety Click" referrs to the number 66.
Bingo lingo elevates the fun of the game and creates its own playful and lively atmosphere. And now that you've got some of it under your belt, you'll fit right it and when you hear "Top of the Shop" at your next bingo game, you will know it just means 90.
